In this workshop you learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom.

You learn the basic terms of weaving, how to prepare the warp, set up the loom and start weaving. You work with wool and create your own woven piece.

In this workshop you learn the basics of spinning on a spinning wheel.

You start with a short introduction about fibre and the spinning process, followed by hands-on practice. During the class you can ask questions and try different drafting methods. At the end you learn how to ply your yarn.

You can try different spinning wheels during the workshop.

In this workshop you learn how to create different types of art yarn.

You spin several yarns depending on your pace, such as core spinning, thick and thin, beehives, cable yarn and spinning with beads.

Basic spinning skills are required.

Individual and group weaving lessons for beginners.

In one-to-one lessons you learn the basics of weaving on a table loom, including designing a project, warping the loom, weaving, and finishing.

Group lessons (4–6 people) focus on weaving on a rigid heddle loom in a relaxed setting. All materials are provided.

Lessons are tailored to your needs, pace, and budget.

Suitable for beginners.

Cost:
– Individual lessons: approx. £30 per hour
– Group workshop: approx. £80 per person (full day)
