Workshop rigid heddle weaving – floats & textures
In this one-day workshop you explore how floats can add texture and interest to your fabric.
You work with a balanced weave and learn how to incorporate float threads to create variation in your weaving. During the workshop you set up the warp, start weaving and develop a textured scarf, which you finish at home.
Suitable for confident beginners and intermediate weavers.

Workshop rigid heddle weaving – cushion cover
In this one-day workshop you weave a fabric for a cushion cover on a rigid heddle loom.
You work with a balanced weave and focus on the rhythm of weaving. During the day you create a woven fabric which is finished into a cushion cover, including the inner.
At the end of the workshop you take home a completed cushion cover.
Suitable for beginners.

You start with a hand spindle as an introduction, then continue on a spinning wheel. You learn to spin, ply your yarn and take home your first handspun wool.

In this workshop you learn how to spin wool.

Workshop rigid heddle weaving – beginners
In this workshop you learn the basics of rigid heddle weaving.
You weave a sample and learn the basic concepts of weaving. You learn how to warp the loom, choose yarns, and work through the weaving process. Finishing techniques and planning a weaving project are also covered.
All equipment and materials for class use are provided.
